We highly recommend that if you wish to try on bridal gowns that you call us in advance and make an appointment with us, especially at the weekend. We are a small boutique with only a limited number of dressing rooms, and if you arrive without an appointment and the dressing rooms are being used by other brides, you will unfortunately not be able to try on the dresses. By booking an appointment you will have the dressing room all to yourself, and have one-on-one service with one of our friendly members of staff. This ensures the best possible experience with us, and gives you the full benefit of our knowledge of the designers and the gowns.

If you arrive without an appointment we will still do our very best to give you as much help as possible, and we will try to get you into a dressing room if it is available. You are of course free to spend as much time looking at the gowns as you wish.

Your appointment will typically last for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. That is typically enough time for at least 10 gowns but we don’t limit the number of gowns you can try on.

You don’t need to bring anything with you for your appointment. Feel free to bring any pictures of dresses that you have seen in magazines or on the internet, but please don’t feel like you have to – we will tell you about every designer in the store and you get to choose what dresses you want to try. Always feel free to ask us for our recommendations too, we know the dresses very well and if you are looking for a particular style we will be happy to give you suggestions.

If you are trying to keep to a budget, we recommend you make us aware of this before the appointment so we can advise you accordingly. Nobody at our store works on commission so don’t worry, it’s not a sales tactic in order for you to spend more money with us. We just don’t want you to fall in love with a dress that is way over budget, and you spend the next 3 months trying to find something to compare to it! Having said that you are completely free to try on any dress in the store that you want to, so if you want to try on dresses that are over budget you are more than welcome to, we’ll leave the decision entirely up to you!

We recommend that you limit your appointment guests to no more than two people, due to limited seating in the store. We also recommend that if possible other arrangements are made for children due to the delicate nature of the merchandise. If you would like to bring more guests please make us aware of this when booking the appointment, and we will do our best to accommodate you!

Alterations Appointments:
Our bridal alterations experts hold appointments at our salon. You do not have to use our alterations service if you don’t wish to – you are completely free to use any alterations expert of your choosing, but only our recommended experts can work from our store. 

An alterations appointment cannot be conducted without the bride wearing the final shoes and undergarments. Please have these on hand. It is likely that you will have at least 3 fittings, and we recommend if at all possible that you have your first alterations appointment 6-8 weeks before your wedding. If you don’t have that much time don’t worry, our ladies can work miracles in a very short amount of time, we just recommend that much time so you can fit the alterations appointments around what is usually a busy couple of weeks before your wedding.
